Harriton: Eddie Byrd III
Harriton’s Eddie Byrd III led the Ram’s offense with 207 all-purpose yards that included 15 carries for 74 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns along with 4 catches for 70 yards and 2 TD receptions. In addition, Byrd returned 3 kick-offs for 63 yards. On defesne, Byrd recorded 2 tackles.
Marple Newtown: Marcus Weathers, Quarterback
Marple Newtown’s Marcus Weathers had his best game as the starting quarterback for the Tigers. Weathers completed 10 passes on 15 attempts (66.7 completion %) for 236 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Against Harriton, Weathers had 7 completions that resulted in gains of 10+ yards and 5 of those 7 completions resulted in gains of 30+ yards including a 50 yard bomb to Abel Hoff for a touchdown late in the 3rd quarter.
Through three games, Weathers has passed for 336 yards and has 28 completions on 47 pass attempts (59.6 completion %). He has three passing TDs to 2 interceptions.
