Marple Newtown senior Corey Power signed a letter of commitment to the University of Pennsylvania on February 6, National Signing Day. The Tiger offensive and defensive lineman will head to University City in the fall, to join Al Bagnoli’s Quaker squad.
Penn has fielded a football team since 1876, and has called historic Franklin Field home since 1895. The Quakers finished 2012 with a 6-4 record, including winning the Ivy League outright with a 6-1 league record. Penn owns 16 Ivy League titles.
Power will join several local products as the Penn football class of 2017: Adam Strouss (QB/Episcopal Academy), Aron Morgan (PK/Haverford School), and Andrew Guckin (RB/Archbishop Wood). View the complete list of local Division I recruits here.
