Marple Newtown High School was the winner of the Suburban Philadelphia Football Officials Association’s sportsmanship award.

“We’re very honored,” said Marple head coach Ray Gionta. “I was very pleased to hear that we scored 89 out of a possible 90 points.”

Former Ridley player Dave Vosheski is among the members of the Marple Newtown coaching his. His brother, Jason, who was an All-Delco receiver at Ridley, is on the coaching staff at Academy Park, which won the Chester Chapter of PIAA Football Officials’ Mike Thurstlic Memorial Sportsmanship Award.
